The time of the ego is over. This is a historic reality. There are no more great egos.

 

Once upon a time in Kali Yuga, the goal of life was to become a great man or a great woman, and there was even a theory that the great man made history. There are no longer great men or great women. There are no longer great artists. There are no longer great thinkers. There are no longer great saints or sages.

 

The time of greatness itself as a property of an individual being is over. It has come to an end in a world in which ego consciousness itself is exhausted.

 

But the fact that great egos are extinct—are as rare as dinosaurs walking alive on the earth—does not mean that greatness itself is gone, but that greatness has migrated to another site than the ego.
